At the 2023 Annual Meeting held on January 25th, immediate past board chair Debra Spesard introduced Heather Francis as the 2023 Board President. Heather is CFO at Clay Critters and has lived in the community for over 20 years. She has been volunteering with UWGL since she joined the Community Investment Committee (CIC) in 2018. Since that time she has served as Co-Chair and Chair of the CIC, COVID-19 Response Fund Grants Committee member, Sarah Rounds Price Equity Fund Grants Committee member, and joined the Executive Committee in 2021. 

“Volunteering for the past 5 years for the United Way has given me an appreciation for all of the great work this agency and our wonderful partner agencies in the community are doing.   I am honored to be serving as board president as we usher in the next 100 years of service to the Greater Lafayette community. I look forward to supporting the leadership and staff at  the United Way as they find lasting solutions to the complex challenges facing our community. “
