COVID-19 Economic Relief Initiative

APPLICATION & GUIDELINES

Introduction

In March 2020, Lilly Endowment, Inc. announced a $30 million grant to the Indiana United Ways. Montgomery County United Fund applied to receive some of the grant to bring relief to our community’s most vulnerable individuals and families impacted by the coronavirus outbreak. The goal of the COVID-19 Economic Relief Initiative is to rapidly deploy resources to local non-profit organizations that are offering emergency relief to families and individuals in need and to those who are looking for innovative means to provide support networks for those who need them the most. We were awarded the grant, totally $225,000 in July 2020 which was distributed to provide critical and necessary services to those who have been negatively affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

Montgomery County United Fund, in partnership with United Way of Greater Lafayette, receive a second COVID-19 Economic Relief Initiative grant for $112,525 from Indiana United Ways, the state professional association of which Montgomery County United Fund is a member.
