DONOR PRIVACY POLICY

As an office of United Way of Greater Lafayette, we adopt the following Donor Privacy Policy:

The privacy of our donors and volunteer’s personal information is of the utmost importance to United Way of Greater Lafayette. Any information gathered by United Way of Greater Lafayette will be kept strictly confidential. We will only share personally identifiable information with a third party if we are required to by law or if it is necessary for completing an authorized operation, for instance to process a credit card transaction.

The information, which United Way of Greater Lafayette gathers, is used solely to accurately credit and recognize individual donor contributions. Information is only used to provide receipts, updates on the impact of a donor’s gift and to share opportunities to stay involved throughout the year.  United Way of Greater Lafayette will not sell, rent or trade personal information to any third party. We will take special care to protect the privacy and security of all personal information.

Security Policy

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy and ensure the correct use of information, we maintain physical, electronic and administrative safeguards to protect the information we collect both online and through traditional methods. We have taken standard industry precautions to protect our donors and volunteers from the loss, misuse or alteration of information they provide to us and we periodically review our security processes.

We are committed to ensuring that all donation transactions to United Way of Greater Lafayette are safe and secure.
