Volunteer Income Tax Assistance
United Way in Montgomery County’s VITA Program offers free income tax assistance to eligible community members with the help of individuals who are certified with the IRS to prepare taxes as volunteers. Appointments are required and can be scheduled using the self-scheduling tool below or by calling 765-362-5484. Appointments will take place at the United Way in Montgomery County office at 221 E. Eligibility Considerations: Individuals making $73,000 or less are likely eligible for VITA services. You are out of scopefor our program if you own or manage a rental property, have farm income, exchange virtual currency (e.g. bitcoin), are selling a home under contract, or operated at a loss as a self-employed contractor/business owner.
