UNITED WAY OF GREATER LAFAYETTE REACHES $4.5 MILLION CAMPAIGN GOAL
United Way of Greater Lafayette is proud to announce that the 2025 Annual Campaign has officially met its $4.5 million fundraising goal, thanks to the extraordinary generosity of local donors, workplace campaigns, volunteers, and community partners.
This year’s success reflects a deep, community-wide commitment to “Give Local”—a call to action that united long-standing supporters with new partners who stepped forward to help push the campaign past the finish line. The result is a powerful testament to what can happen when a community rallies together on behalf of its neighbors.
“Every campaign cabinet volunteer, every employee campaign coordinator, every corporate partner, and every single donor played a role in getting us here,” said Jennifer Million, Chief Operating Officer of United Way of Greater Lafayette. “This was truly a collective effort, and our community showed up in a big way.”
The dollars raised ensure that local families, neighbors, and friends have the support they need—right here in Greater Lafayette. Campaign funds make it possible for United Way to carry out its mission through cornerstone programs like VITA free tax prep, Read to Succeed, and Kindergarten Camp, and invest in the essential work of 24 local nonprofit partners delivering critical programs and services across Youth Opportunity, Community Health, Financial Security, and Community Resiliency. 2025 Campaign Chair Virginia Vought emphasized the importance of the community’s role in meeting the moment:
“When we kick off this campaign every year, we announce a fundraising goal—what we hope to raise, some years we make it, some years we come close. But what we must remember is that this work has never been about hitting an arbitrary number. It’s about showing up, year after year, together as a community, to ensure our neighbors who fall on hard times have somewhere to turn.”
“At the end of the day, this campaign is about people—kids who need a safe place to learn, families who need help putting food on the table, seniors who need connection, and neighbors who need a hand up when life gets hard. Our community chose to Give Local, and because of that, thousands of lives will be strengthened. I couldn’t be more proud or more grateful for the generosity and heart shown throughout this campaign.”
— Virginia Vought, 2025 United Way Campaign Chair
